The Orlando Magic are seeing an incredible rise in TV ratings in Orlando. Viewership has nearly doubled and last Wednesday’s game set a new season mark.
The Orlando Magic are ending the 2015 calendar year as popular as they have been in years with the TV viewers in Orlando.
According to the Orlando Magic, Magic games on FOX Sports Florida this season are up an incredible 96 percent from last season through 30 games.

The most recent monster number the Magic telecast got was on December 23 home win against Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets was The highest rated television program in Orlando across key men and adult demographics including men ages 18-34 and adults ages 18-49.

The Magic-Rockets game was the No. 3 sporting event for the week and No. 9 overall television program in the 18-49 demographic in Orlando behind only the Sunday Night Football game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings and the Monday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints.
Keep in mind that includes all the bowl games that have been televised and NBA Christmas Day games as well.
The non-NFL programs that finished ahead of the Magic’s win over the Rockets in Orlando last week were The Big Bang Theory episode from last Monday on CBS, The Real House Wives of Atlanta on Bravo and the South Park Christmas episode on Comedy Central.
The Magic’s game against the Rockets surpassed the the Milwaukee Bucks game from November 27 as the highest-rated Magic game this season on Fox Sports Florida.
It is the most-watched Magic game on FOX Sports Florida since March 25, 2013. The high ratings continues the positive trend this season for the Magic and FOX Sports Florida.
On March 25, 2013, the Magic hosted the Miami Heat in a game that was also televised on ESPN. The Heat defeated the Magic 108-94 which extended the Heat’s winning streak that season to 27 in a row, the second longest streak in NBA history.
This season, Orlando has been tuning in to the Magic on Fox Sports Florida.
The Magic’s opening night loss to Washington Wizards was the highest rated Magic season opening game on FOX Sports Florida since 2010. The Magic’s first win of the season at New Orleans garnered similar numbers to opening night.
Through the first 12 telecasts this season, Magic ratings were up Magic ratings were up 53 percent from last season.
The Magic’s win over the Rockets also aired on NBATV outside of Orlando which garnered 234,000 viewers nationally. That is up 8,000 viewers from the Magic’s last NBATV appearance, the November 27 win over the Bucks which garnered 226,000 viewers.
