Orlando TV Ratings: Thanksgiving NFL dominates viewers

The NFL proved to be king during Thanksgiving weekend. The feat of NFL games across all different channels drew eyeballs across Orlando.

Orlando likes watching NFL Thanksgiving games.

Thursday’s NFL game between the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys was the most watched sporting event of the week with 377,237 viewers according to Nielsen. It is the second most watched NFL game in Orlando this season behind only the New England Patriots’ dramatic win against the New York Giants in Week 10 which garnered 398,496 viewers.

The first game on Thanksgiving with the Detroit Lions hosting the Philadelphia Eagles garnered 314,193 viewers which is the fourth-most viewed NFL game this season in Orlando.

Thursday was not the only big day for NFL this week though as Sunday’s Seattle Seahawks 39-30 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers garnered 297,089 viewers in Orlando which is the sixth most watched NFL game of the season in Orlando.

Sunday Night’s Denver Broncos overtime win over the New England Patriots garnered 272,767 viewers according to Nielsen which was the second-most watched NFL game on Sunday behind only the Steelers-Seahawks game.

The Thanksgiving Night game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers garnered 250, 399 viewers.

In total, five of the 15 most watched NFL games this season in Orlando occurred this week. It is safe to say Orlando loved watching the NFL on Thanksgiving week.
