Orlando City put all its efforts into its #FillTheBowl campaign for the season opener, packing more than 60,000 fans into the Orlando Citrus Bowl.

The Orlando Pride will probably not fill the Citrus Bowl but the same marketing push that got so many into the Citrus Bowl for the Lions opener is hoping to set a new record still.

With only a few weeks remaining before the beginning of the Pride’s inaugural season in late April, the Pride are planning to fill the Citrus Bowl with, well, Pride for the opener.

The team launched its #FilledWithPride program earlier this week with the hopes of setting the NWSL attendance record during the April 23 home opener against the Houston Dash. The current record is 21,114 fans. Knowing Orlando City’s track record with fans, it seems like this is a pretty achievable goal.

“April 23 will be a historical date not only for our club, but for the city of Orlando,” Orlando City SC founder and president Phil Rawlins said in a statement released by the team. “If we know anything, it’s that Orlando knows how to put on a home opener and we are excited for our professional women’s team to experience the passion of our city.”

The Pride have already made a similar presence throughout the city with the Lions handing out magnets like they have for the men. It seems fairly certain the Pride will hit their mark.

Tickets are available at orlando-pride.com for as low at $15. The season kicks off for the Pride in Portland on April 17. The team will open its home schedule April 23.
