Saturday’s Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville became the highest rated college football game in Orlando this season as the Florida Gators dominated.
The Florida Gators’ dominance over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday in Jacksonville was the most watched college football game of the 2015 season in Orlando.
The Gators’ convincing 27-3 win over the Bulldogs garnered 245,594 viewers in Orlando according to Nielsen making it the most watched college football game in the 2015 season.
The Florida-Georgia game passed the Florida-Tennessee game from back on Sept. 26 as the most viewed college football game in Orlando. The Gators’ dramatic win over the Vols had 206, 977 viewers according to Nielson. Both games were on the SEC on CBS’s 3:30 p.m. time slot.
The 2015 edition of the rivalry’s viewership in Orlando is up from 2014 when Orlando ranked fifth for the Florida-Georgia game with a 10.8 rating according to the Florida Times Union.
Nationally people were not as interested in the game as they were in Orlando as CBS had the lowest Florida/Georgia TV rating in a decade. Compared to last year’s Florida/Georgia game, which took place one week later in the season, the Gators’ rout declined 15 percent from last year (4.0).

UCF viewership down on ESPNews from last week
UCF’s 52-7 blowout loss at Cincinnati on Saturday, which aired on ESPNews at noon, garnered 101,000 viewers nationally down from 171,000 viewers for last week’s UCF game against Houston on ESPNews.
UCF-Cincinnati was up from the 73,000 viewers UCF at Tulane garnered back on Oct. 3.
All three games aired at noon on ESPNews. The Knights will have one last noon game which is also on ESPNews this Saturday at Tulsa.
It will be UCF’s last Saturday game of the season as the Knights last two games of the season are home on Thursday nights against East Carolina on Nov. 19 and South Florida on Thanksgiving Night.
